Our advantages

1. AQA is a registrar accredited by a world-wide recognized accreditation bodies ANAB (USA);

2. AQA offers discounts on registration to qualifying companies through the Small Business Registration program. Companies that have less than 150 employees, less than $10 million in sales and are not part of any larger organization can qualify for discounts of up to 20% on the initial registration. The SBR discounts are applicable to both the quality and environmental programs. Other than the price discounts, the SBR program involves the same processes as the regular programs.

3. Surveillance Program Options

a. 6-month Surveillance - Five surveillance audits are conducted approximately six months apart. This surveillance option is available for all current registration programs. A benefit of this option is greater assurance of continued maintenance of the management system due to the frequent surveillance audits. Clients that successfully complete this surveillance program without any major findings are eligible for a reduced re-registration audit. A drawback to this program is increased overall surveillance audit cost and travel expenses compared to the nine and twelve-month programs.

b. 9-month Surveillance - Three surveillance audits are conducted approximately nine months apart. This surveillance option is available for all ISO 9001:2000 registration programs. Benefits of this option compared to the six-month program include reduced overall travel costs and eligibility for a reduced re-registration audit if no major findings occur over the three-year process. Drawbacks to this program include increased overall surveillance audit cost and the audit days may be longer.

c. 12-month Surveillance - Two surveillance audits are conducted approximately twelve months apart. This option is available for all registration programs. The primary benefit of this option is greater reduction of travel expenses than the six and nine-month programs. A possible drawback of this option is an increased number of days per surveillance audit, depending on the size of the client. Also, clients selecting this option must receive a longer re-registration audit at the end of the three-year process compared to the six and nine-month programs.

4. Our staff is available to assist you if you have any questions about the registration process or AQA's interpretation of the standard.

5. Upon signing Application for Quality System Registration (contract) with application fee AQA sends the following documents to its new clients:

a. Compliance Audit Expectations - a list of requirements that must be met prior to the compliance audit.

b. Documentation Review - a checklist that AQA requests accompany your documentation (uncontrolled quality manual and/or procedures) sixty (60) days prior to the compliance audit. AQA conducts a documentation review of your documentation and provides a report of the findings. The checklist helps identify where in your documentation all elements and subclauses of the standard have been addressed and also acts as a self assessment.

c. QS Checklist or AQA Checklist (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001) used by our auditors during the audit process.
